PVC-U : Kömmerling AddOn New version of the compound sash system

The new version of the Kömmerling AddOn system is a logical evolution of the well-known compound sash principle - designed to integrate convenience features while significantly streamlining installation. The system is available in the 76 double seal, 76 centre seal and 88 centre seal platforms. This makes AddOn suitable for both renovation projects and new construction projects where design, function, and cost-effectiveness must come together.

Kömmerling AddOn has been comprehensively optimized in terms of design - for tangible benefits in manufacturing and installation. A key feature is the elimination of the aluminum shell on the sash, which can result in time and cost savings. The seal block has been redesigned, making it easier to install the hinges. Additionally, an innovative screw channel technology ensures that screwing the hinges onto the compound sash is easier and faster. The system can be combined with AluClip Plus and supports reliable process implementation. Another practical detail: there is 2 mm more space available in the gap - a clear advantage, especially for the use of a composite blind. Overall, this new development makes it possible to automate almost all stages of the process, thereby facilitating cost-effective implementation.

The focus remains on the optional privacy and sun protection feature, which is weather-protected between two glass panes. This creates a pleasant sense of space, greater privacy, and reliable sun protection—without any external components that are vulnerable to the weather. Depending on the model, this system can be conveniently operated and easily integrated into the overall design. At the same time, thermal and sound insulation benefit from a third glass pane, which enhances living comfort and can positively impact energy consumption. Finally, it is worth noting that AddOn can be retrofitted, making it a viable solution when buildings are modernized in phases.
