The Kömmerling 76 residential door is a versatile PVC-U residential door system designed for outward-opening door assemblies. With a frame depth of 76 mm, the system combines good thermal insulation with a robust construction and a wide range of design and fit-out options.
Generously dimensioned steel reinforcements and welded corner connectors support the structural stability of the door construction. With a Uf value of up to 1.2 W/(m²K) and a thermally broken threshold, the system’s design provides good conditions for effective thermal insulation. The double seal in the threshold area and a precisely fitting threshold connector ensure a tight seal between the frame and the threshold. In combination with appropriate security fittings, burglary resistance up to resistance class RC 2 is possible.
The system allows for single- and multi-sash, outwards-opening residential doors, as well as combinations with transom windows and side panels. Functional and ornamental glazing, as well as residential door panels up to 52 mm thick, open up additional design possibilities. Different shapes, such as arched designs, can also be achieved thanks to the thermoplastic mouldability of the PVC-U profiles.
For customised surface finishes, a range of films in wood-effect finishes, plain colours and metallic colours is available alongside classic white. The range is complemented by Kömmerling AcrylColor, featuring an acrylic layer permanently bonded to the PVC-U profile, and by the proCoverTec surface technology.
