Kömmerling 88 centre seal Passive House WA 15/2 is a version of the 88 mm centre seal system specifically designed to meet high thermal insulation requirements. With a Uf value of 0.95 W/(m²K), the system meets the requirements for Passive House suitability in accordance with the ift guideline WA 15/2.
When combined with 48 mm-thick thermal insulation glazing with a Ug value of 0.6 W/(m²K) and the appropriate spacer, a Uw value of 0.79 W/(m²K) is achieved. An Uw value of 0.82 W/(m²K) is specified for installation. These values relate to the corresponding tested window and glazing assembly.
The system offers a glazing range of up to 58 mm, thereby enabling the use of triple glazing as well as special functional glazing. The centrally positioned steel reinforcement ensures safe load-bearing capacity for heavy glass panes. Design options include classic white as well as films in wood-effect finishes, plain colours and metallic finishes.
