With proStratoTec, the Kömmerling 88 centre seal range is expanded to include a variant designed to meet particularly high thermal insulation requirements. The system is certified in accordance with the criteria of the Dr. Feist Passive House Institute (PHI) and also enables the production of coloured Passive House windows.
The stability of the sash is ensured by the Ultradur® glass-fibre reinforcement, which is already integrated into the profile. This allows sashes to be manufactured without the steel reinforcement that is otherwise standard. The absence of steel reinforcement helps to improve the thermal insulation of the sash profile. In combination with bonded glazing, coloured sashes can also be produced without steel.
Depending on the design, the system achieves Uf values of 0.77 to 0.89 W/(m²K). Special high-strength thermal insulation components support secure sash fixing and installation in masonry, even in steel-free designs.
Design options include classic white as well as films in wood textures, plain colours and metallic finishes. With bonded glazing, steel-free sashes are available in white up to 1000 × 2500 mm and in decorative finishes up to 1000 × 2350 mm. Without bonded glazing, white profiles are available up to 1000 × 2200 mm and decorative profiles up to 1000 × 1800 mm.
