The Kömmerling 88 outward-opening residential door offers a robust and versatile solution for high-quality entrance doors. The outward-opening design is particularly suitable for entrance areas where the door’s opening path must not encroach on the interior space. Both single-sash and multi-sash designs are possible.
With a construction depth of 88 mm and a 6-chamber design, the system provides a high-performance basis for thermally insulated residential door solutions. Large-dimensioned steel reinforcements form a sturdy, all-round frame. The sash corners are further reinforced by welded corner connectors, which are mechanically connected to the steel reinforcement and help to absorb bending and torsional forces.
The thermally broken, barrier-free residential door threshold with double sealing ensures a high level of airtightness. The deep glazing rebate allows for the use of modern triple glazing, special functional glazing or front door panels up to 58 mm thick. With maximum sash sizes of 1200 × 2400 mm for single-sash residential doors and 1000 × 2400 mm for double-sash doors, even larger door systems can be installed.
For customisation, in addition to classic white, a wide range of film finishes in wood-effect textures as well as plain and metallic colours are available. Furthermore, various types of functional and decorative glass, residential door panels and other design options can be incorporated.
