Climate protection
Despite all the climate summits the nations around the world aren’t meeting climate targets. Should we wait for the politicians to get it right or take action ourselves?
Our modern windows reduce the amount of CO₂ escaping into the atmosphere by millions of kilograms – lowering the pollution of forests.
Climate protection: high-tech windows minimise CO2.
Despite all the climate summits the nations around the world aren’t meeting climate targets. Should we wait for the politicians to get it right or take action ourselves? Rising temperatures as a result of CO2 emissions are one of the biggest threats to our climate. Emissions of the climate-damaging gas, which is produced as a result of combustion reactions when fossil fuels are burned, rose to the record level of 37.1 billion tonnes in 2018. Around 40 % of our oil and gas reserves are used to heat buildings. You can change that. Our modern premium windows reduce heating energy requirements and the amount of harmful greenhouse gases being released into the air. This is one of the most important things we can do to protect our climate because keeping the air cleaner slows global warming. In other words, you can do a lot more to prevent climate change than you might have thought. New windows are the first and most important step to take in thermal refurbishment projects because they deliver the most impressive immediate and measurable results.
We have clean energy on the one hand and waste mountains on the other. We intend to develop holistic concepts that eliminate this imbalance.
Our solution.
Our premium windows are high-tech products that satisfy high requirements of heat insulation and therefore improve building energy efficiency. Numerically speaking, the some 15 million window units that are made from our profiles every year result in a millions litre reduction in heating oil consumption. Also, carbon emissions are many thousands of kilograms lower – reducing the pollution of forests. Our windows also conserve natural resources such as fossil fuels for future generations. With our modern windows you don’t just save heating costs, you also help to make the world a better place. Another fact supporting the sustainability of modern plastic windows is that 4 % of the world’s oil reserves are used for plastics production but only 1% (one forty-thousandth) of that is accounted for by the PVC-U that is used to make windows. Lastly, a PVC-U window has a theoretical 40-year lifespan and can be recycled at least eight times.
